Senior Researcher, Asian Disaster Reduction Center, Japan, Dec 1999 – Sept 2001

  Conducted "Information Network System for Disaster in Asian Countries" project involving 22 countries in Asia to develop website and databases of disaster, and also to develop Internet based GIS system for those countries (http://venten.adrc.or.jp/)

  Prepared cartographic and geographic information services to the Disaster Response Team, providing the data within hours and analyzed within 1 day before the dispatching

  Implemented project on Human Information Network, collecting the information for the purpose to build internationally connected and solid team

  Involved in A GLobal IDEntifier number (GLIDE) initiative project which is now used by UN-OCHA/ CRED to identify the disaster event

  Developed and maintained geographic databases including satellite imagery and gazetteers
